Stunning 1863 Ar/wm Stonewall Jackson Memorial Medal Ngc Ms 62

This medal was commissioned by Charles Augustus Lafayette Lamar, who planned to award a medal to each of the officers and men who served in Stonewall Jackson's Stonewall Brigade. The man Lamar commissioned was the Parisian medalist to the king of France, Armand Auguste Caque. The medals were not completed in time for Lamar, and he had to leave France without them.
