The American Liberty series features modernized renditions of the powerful allegorical figure. This 2019-P high relief matte medal is struck from 2.5 Troy oz. 999 fine silver at the Philadelphia Mint.
Mintage of the 50.8 mm diameter medal is limited to 50,000. Designed by Richard Masters and Joseph Menna, Liberty's portrait on the obverse faces left towards thirteen stars, with thirteen rays of sunlight emanating from her headdress. Inscribed "LIBERTY, " "2019" and the Mint mark P. The breathtaking reverse image of a flying eagle was created by Donna Weaver and Michael Gaudioso.
