KOMSCO (Korea Minting and Security Printing Corporation) introduced its first silver bullion series in 2016, in honor of the legendary warrior Chiwoo Cheonwang. Having a mintage of only 3,000, this third release of the series is struck from 1 Troy oz. 999 fine silver with a stunning proof finish. The helmeted warrior Chiwoo is featured on the reverse seated upon a warhorse. The warrior is depicted in full battle armor, grasping an intricately engraved sword in a battle ready pose. The warrior's magnificently detailed shield is illustrated on the obverse, surrounded by the inscriptions "2018 FINE SILVER 999, " "REPUBLIC OF KOREA" and "1 CLAY, " with the KOMSCO logo appearing below.
