The first Horse-drawn Tram-line opened in Nuremberg on 25 August 1881. Electrification came to the system when the first electric tram-line opened on 7 May 1896. Theodor von Cramer-Klett turned in an input to the city of Nuremberg to obtain. Tracked and in 1891 the first considerations for the electrification of the network were made. The success of the Nuremberg-Furth Horse-Tram was celebrated on their 10th anniversary in 1891.Proclamations were made throughout the cities and a great fan-fare celebration was had by all.
